Referral pathways

The North East and North Cumbria Maternal Medicine Network aims to ensure timely access to specialist advice and care for pregnant women with pre-existing medical problems or when medical problems arise during pregnancy.

To coordinate specialist care we offer a referral pathway for both known conditions and  acute conditions that evolve during pregnancy with the overall arching aim of achieving the right care, in the right place at the right time.

We conduct Monthly MDT’s with the regional units to discuss and co-ordinate care of pregnant women throughout the region.
